Arlie Hochschild Arlie Hochschild, Professor of Sociology at the University of California at Berkeley and author of the groundbreaking book ‘The Managed Heart – The commercialization of human feeling’ will be in Edinburgh to participate in 3 events. Her work covers such topics as emotions, gender, the interface between work
and home, migration and ‘global woman’.
