Registration Desk
The Conference Registration Desk will be located in the main conference foyer
of the John McIntyre Centre, and will open at 10am on Wednesday 16th June.
We will endeavour to staff the desk throughout the entire conference, therefore
please direct any questions you have to that point.

The programme
We now have an updated programme available on our website which will also
be in your conference pack.

Abstracts

A booklet has been produced containing all abstracts to assist your decision
making regarding which paper session you will attend. This will be distributed
in your conference pack.

Papers
• For those of you who are still to send your paper, and wish it to be included on
the conference memory stick then please send to me by Friday 11th June 2010
• Unfortunately it is now too late to send your paper for consideration for the special edited collection
• Delegates whose papers are not going to be included on the CD, can you please
bring some paper copies with you.

Presentations
• We have recommended speaking to your paper for approximately 20 minutes, and leave 10 minutes for questions and changeover of speaker. We need to keep strictly
to time.
• It may be that the paper session you have been allocated is not fully taken up with
paper presentations and so it will be the responsibility of the session chair to decide
whether the full session time is used by the presenters or whether the session will
close early and allow delegates to attend other paper sessions
• Powerpoint and Laptops will be available in each break out room
Reminder: please send your Powerpoint presentations to Laura Marshall at L.marshall@ed.ac.uk by Friday 11th June if you want your powerpoint tested for compatibility with the University operating systems, prior to the conference. NB – you
are very welcome to not send your presentation, and instead bring it with you on
memory stick on the day. If you do this, allow time to load it prior to the start
of your session
