Airport
There is a brilliant Shuttle service from the Edinburgh Airport
into the city Centre which
is £3.50 single or £6.00 return, which takes approximately
half an hour. The bus drops
off and picks up from outside Waverley Train Station.

There is a taxi rank located on the opposite side of the road
from the Bus drop off point.
The journey to the conference venue will cost approx £5-£7
To travel to the conference venue by bus, from Waverley Bridge
walk to Princes Street
and cross over road and a Lothian Bus No 30 will take you
to the conference venue.
All fares cost £1.20 per journey

The nearest train station to the conference location is Edinburgh
Waverley, this is
a principal station and provides both national and local services.

Road
From the A1 and A68 and detailed directions
As you approach Edinburgh take the City by-pass East (A720).
Exit at Sheriffhall
Roundabout; take the A7 towards the city centre. Stay on the
A7 which becomes
Dalkeith Road. Turn right at the Royal Commonwealth Pool onto
Holyrood Park
Road (approx. 4 miles from the Sheriffhall) and the entrance
to Pollock Halls is
approx. 200m on the right.
From the M6 and M8
Continue on the M6 North and merge take the M74 towards Edinburgh
and Glasgow.
Take the M73 North at junction 4 sign posted Edinburgh M8.
Take the M8 towards
Edinburgh. As you approach Edinburgh take the City by-pass
East (A720). Follow
the above detailed directions.
Alternatively from the M74 take the A702 at Junction 13. Follow
signs for Biggar
then Edinburgh. As you approach Edinburgh follow the above
detailed directions.
The A720 is a dual carriageway that skirts Edinburgh and can
be accessed from
all the major routes entering and leaving the city.

Travel around Edinburgh
One of the best way’s to get around the city centre
is by taxi, as car parking tends
to be expensive. Parking at the conference is free, but may
be limited and will be
allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Taxi’s can normally be hailed on street at most times
although during busy periods
it is advisable to book in advance.
The bus service in Edinburgh is very good compared to most
UK cities. Buses run
to all areas of the city and bus lanes make bus travel often
quicker than car travel
