Centre for Cognitive Ageing and Cognitive Epidemiology
Transformations LIFE PORTRAITS, was a unique collaboration
between artist
Linda Kosciewicz-Fleming and the Centre for Cognitive Ageing
and Cognitive Epidemiology
at the University of Edinburgh. Based on images from members
of the Lothian Birth Cohort 1936,
a group of 1,091 participants in ageing research, Transformations
LIFE PORTRAITS explored the differences between individuals
throughout their lives and the effect these differences have
on
longevity and cognitive and physical changes. The work was
used as the basis for discussion
about the research and ageing in general."
