| Harvard lecturer
wants to clone CRFR model
|
A 'clone' of the CRFR
model should be deployed to research institutions who want communicate
with policy makers according to Harvard Kennedy School Lecturer
Tim Nelson in his summary
remarks of the Qualitative Research into Policy Making in Malta
on 14 and 15 Jan 2010.
"The presentations by Sarah Morton, Jennifer Fluekiger
... brought home the potential role of institutions
and networks which bridge the worlds of academic research and
policy making ... What a brilliant
idea—hiring a smart and media-savvy person to package
research for the potential users, including
policymakers. We should clone Jennifer and each have a copy
of her working for our organizations,"
he wrote.
CRFR Co-Director Sarah Morton and Information and Publications
Officer Jennifer Flueckiger both
gave presentations to the conference detailing the CRFR approach
to Knowledge Exchange, the role
of the Knowledge Exchange team and the Centre's experiences
in the Scottish context.
