Dr Adele Lebano is a researcher and lecturer with over ten years of experience in socio-economic research and policy evaluation in Europe and North America. Her research spans social sciences and applied ethics and combines qualitative and quantitative approaches. She has worked on the concepts of choice, freedom and respect and on the tension between individual values and collective choices. She has been co-investigator on a number of European research projects on women, work, and generations. Before moving to Edinburgh in 2014 she held research and teaching positions at the University of Milan (Italy), Erasmus University (NL), and Cornell University (NY, USA). Adele is currently reviewing a book chapter on generations, family and work in Italy and working on a comparative study on intergenerational exchanges in Italy and the UK.
