| Project description |
This project creates
opportunities for exchanging innovative research practice, by
developing and running an advanced level Continuous Professional
Development (CPD) course at CRFR at the University of Edinburgh.
The course will explore the use of creative arts based methods
in research with children and young people. Creative methods
are defined for this project as arts based activities which
include drama, music, visual arts, storytelling, film making,
dance and online based arts activities.
The course will be developed in partnership with third sector
arts based and children’s organisations. The course will
be targeted at researchers from the third sector and academia
as well as the public sector and private sector with the intention
of building a community of researchers with an interest in developing
skills in using creative methods in research.
The course builds on a programme of advanced level training
in research with children and young people that has been developed
at CRFR and through the MSc in Childhood Studies at the University
of Edinburgh. Learning from the course will be shared through
briefings, academic networks and other non-academic routes. |
