| Project description |
This project will
disseminate the findings of Jennifer Speirs' PhD thesis ‘Secretly
connected? Anonymous semen donation, genetics and meanings of
kinship’.
Jennifer's thesis explores the views of men who donated semen
anonymously between 25 and 45 years ago about what it means
to them to have been a donor. It also analyses the continuing
disputes about the need for secrecy amongst infertility treatment
provision stakeholders in the UK and the connection between
these disputes and beliefs about what constitutes fatherhood. |
