description |
CRFR and the Scottish Centre
for Social Research were commissioned by the Scottish Executive
Education Department, Research and Economic Unit to conduct
a second mapping exercise of Sure Start Services in Scotland.
CRFR conducted the first mapping exercise in 2001.
This mapping exercise measured developments against the 2001
baseline as well as identifying whether factors identified as
helping
or hindering service development in 2001 were still relevant.
The research involved the gathering of quantitative and qualitative
data from all 32 local authorities in Scotland, with two further
in-depth case studies.
The research began in October and was completed in March 2005. |
