CRFR Associate Director Margaret Arnott recognised by the Academy of Social Sciences
CRFR would like to congratulate Associate Director Margaret Arnott on being recognised by the Academy of Social Sciences – an honour that celebrates her fantastic contribution to research and public life.
Margaret currently serves as Professor of Public Policy at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS), a position she has held since 2013. Her work digs deep into how government works in the UK, especially around devolution, education policy, and how national identity plays out in politics. She is known internationally for examining the challenges of policy-making in multi-level governance systems, from the role of the Scottish Parliament to how education is used to shape national narratives. Over the years, she has led and collaborated on a range of research projects, always with a focus on real-world impact. This recognition by the Academy honours a career dedicated to rigorous, policy-relevant research and public engagement.
Congratulations, Margaret, on this well-deserved achievement!
